  unicorns really existed!!

  i never noticed those scriptures before but seems that what some translations of bible call bull is actually a unicorn.

  i checked several translations, even found this video which made me think.

  Thank you momz I too believe they existed as kid I used to dream about things like that but never thought they might be real but now I'm thinking maybe they did walk the earth. After all what about monster of Loch Ness? If that can exist why not unicorn and fairies, it is possible? Who can prove they don't, right?

  I think a lot of all legends have been based on reality and this might be one of them. After all what about dinosauros? Many of them looked even stranger. I mean it is possible, right?

  My mother in law loves unicorn, her house is full of pictures and small figurines. I should show her those scripture I might get some brownie points

  The special announcement??

  hello everyone...i can't find it but i thought i read last week that there was to be a big or special announcement???

  what was that all about...i've got a sister calling me and i bet thats what she is going to tell me about...i like saying that i already know about whatever when she randomly calls me with "new" information.

  Blood Issue - Could that mean bloodshed???

  if you look up the greek word for blood, it could mean actual "blood" or it could mean "bloodshed".

  the scriptures in acts are not quoted anywhere so nobody could really say for certain which meaning it actually has... .

  also, just before it in acts, it states to abstain "from things strangled".

  I don't know, I never really studied Greek, but I do know something about blood. It is really not as clean and safe as you might have expected, there is lots to be said about what it does to your body. Even when it works well it has smaller side effects not always noticable but when it goes wrong it can mess up your life in more ways than you might have been aware of.

  i was raised as a jw and got baptised aged 17, started "fading" whilst at university when i started to broaden my outlook and realised that all the so-called "worldly people" i had for so long been encouraged to avoid associating with were actually often open-minded, honest, generous and loyal people.

  that is an interesting story, hope you find a spiritual balance in something else though, running away from god doesn't solve anything.

  Chiropractic

  i have always suspected that chiropractic is a total crock.

  the concept that having your backbone crackled a little bit every month will control your blood pressure, cure your asthma and keep you mobile and flu-free until you're 120 seems farfetched, and yet all my life every time i have had a headache i have been inclined to set up an appointment.. i've really only been in serious pain three times; some bad neck pain which cleared up after a depressing relationship, some lumbar pain from a bad lift incident which cleared up after three weeks of wiggling around on a fitball while i was watching tv in the evening, and some weird shoulder pain which cleared up when i rejoined a gym.

  i have wasted a lot of money for many years - chiropractic just wasn't there for me.

  a great part of healing process is patient's attitude. If you don't believe, your body is tense and your mind unprepared so naturally it won't work for you. Belief and trust are basic foundations of any healing process.

  first off, i no longer believe the bible to be the inspired word of god.

  but with my heart i want to believe.

  i love the idea of an all-powerful deity that cares for me and the rest of humanity.

  I am, in a way. I believe a lot of what old holly books recorded was based on reality, those people back then were not stupid morons, they may have lacked sophistication but I believe they by and large recorded what their eyes saw and ears heard, No more no less.

  I'm feeling major depression

  i'm doing well academically, connecting with my professors and such.

  right now i'm not too motivated to do anything.

  the only motivation i have is graduating and going to another school to further my profession.

  what do you do for your spiritual development? sound like you might need some help there
